Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask La Crosse Logan). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 81-79 victory over the Aquinas Blugolds on Thursday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Rangers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 245th, while the Blugolds are ranked 14th).

La Crosse Logan's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-10. As for Aquinas, their loss dropped their record down to 13-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. La Crosse Logan will face off against Luther at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Aquinas, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sparta at 7:15 p.m. on February 18th.
