Softball Recap: Phelps Comes Up Short

Phelps was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 19-0 to the Shelby Valley Wildcats. If the Hornets were looking for revenge after losing 14-3 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Phelps' defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Shelby Valley, they moved to 2-9 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Phelps will welcome Magoffin County at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Shelby Valley, they will host J.I. Burton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
