Basketball Recap: Lee Christian Comes Up Short

Lee Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 76-6 defeat at the hands of the Cresset Christian Academy Eagles. The Falcons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-6.

They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Madison Yow and Harley Wicker, who each put up three points. Madison Mashburn held things down on the boards with seven rebounds.

Cresset Christian Academy was led to victory by Jada Bryant and Trinity Jefferson. Bryant posted 23 points, while Jefferson earned 21 points. Jefferson's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gigi Simpson, who had ten points.

Lee Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Cresset Christian Academy, their win was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1.

Lee Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 62-12 defeat against St. Mary's on the 12th. As for Cresset Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-53 victory against Tournament Opponent on the 14th.
