Bedford dropped their record down to 12-7 on Monday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Dexter Dreadnaughts by a score of 3-1. If the Kicking Mules were looking for revenge after losing 12-11 to the Dreadnaughts when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Bedford saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Leonhard, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

As for Dexter, they pushed their record up to 16-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games.

On Dexter's side, Jack Sayler was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases Sayler has posted since back in April.

While Bedford had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
