Volleyball Recap: New Castle's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak at Home

New Castle won the last time they faced Jay County and Emily Luce did her part to make sure it happened again. The Trojans had just enough and edged out the Patriots 3-2 for which the team can thank Luce, who had 23 digs and eight assists. She has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last four times she's played.

New Castle was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 25-14, 22-25, 22-25, 25-13, 20-18.

New Castle's win ended a six-match drought at home and bumped them up to 15-11. As for Jay County, their loss dropped their record down to 17-9.

New Castle has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Batesville on the 11th. As for Jay County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Northeastern on the 11th.
