Volleyball Recap: Orleans Takes a Loss

Orleans lost against Charlestown back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 2-1. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Orleans sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 15-25, 15-12.

Callie Alston paced Orleans' offense, picking up 12 kills. Alston got some help from Emma Rutherford and her 15 assists. Addison Russell controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Orleans' loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Charlestown, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season.

Orleans didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Salem on the 13th. As for Charlestown, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Forest Park on the 13th.
