Soccer Recap: Lincoln Falls Short Against Ranked Scituate

Lincoln faced Scituate in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Lions took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans. The shutout was out of character for Lincoln seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 6-4-3. As for Scituate, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Lincoln will face off against rival Westerly at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday. Meanwhile, Scituate is set to challenge their familiar foe St. Raphael Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
