Baseball Recap: Millburn Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Millburn can now relate to. They lost 6-0 to the North Hunterdon Lions on Friday. The Millers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in June of 2023.

Millburn saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sawyer Stein, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

With the loss, Millburn broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-15. As for North Hunterdon, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 18 of their last 19 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season.

Millburn does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Hunterdon, they will square off against Cranford on Wednesday. The Lions will need to watch out since the Cougars have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
