Recap: Camden County Bruins vs. Northeastern Eagles

The Camden County Bruins's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They took a hard 58-39 fall against Northeastern. Camden County has not had much luck with Northeastern recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

When it comes to explaining why Camden County lost, one person who can't be blamed is Tessa Dodson. Despite the final result, she scored 15 points along with two steals. Leilah Roberson was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.

Jasmine Felton continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Northeastern, dropping a double-double on 27 points and 12 rebounds. Felton is crushing the rebound category: she's posted at least ten every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sanai Alexander, who scored 16 points along with three steals.

Camden County dropped their record down to 2-15 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Northeastern, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 14-5.

Camden County will head out on the road to face off against Hertford County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hertford County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Camden County in North Carolina (Hertford County is ranked 160th, while Camden County is ranked 462nd). As for Northeastern, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against South Central at 6:00 p.m. on February 7th. One thing working in South Central's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches.
