Basketball Recap: Lancaster Christian Academy Finds Playoff Glory Versus South Haven Christian

It's playoff time, and Lancaster Christian Academy had no trouble coming through when it counted. They snuck past South Haven Christian with a 62-56 win on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Knights sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Lancaster Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Josh Whitt out in front who almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine boards. The matchup was Whitt's 16th in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lleyton Logel, who went 8-for-11 on his way to 16 points and seven rebounds.

Lancaster Christian Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They racked up seven more assists than South Haven Christian's also-impressive total of 12.

South Haven Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Aiden Hampton, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 15 boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kade Atkinson, who went 5-for-9 en route to 11 points in addition to seven boards and six assists.

Lancaster Christian Academy pushed their record up to 25-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for South Haven Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 22-11.
