Softball Game Preview: Oneonta Yellowjackets vs. Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats

The Oneonta Yellowjackets will face off against the Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Oneonta is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game dating back to last season on Monday. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Windsor Central.

Meanwhile, the third road match was the charm for Bainbridge-Guilford, as they earned their first away victory of the season. Everything went their way against Afton on Thursday as they made off with a 15-6 win. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Jayslin Henderson was incredible, going 2-for-5 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Breanna Casey, who went 3-for-5 with four runs and one stolen base.

Oneonta's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Bainbridge-Guilford, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Oneonta couldn't quite get it done against Bainbridge-Guilford in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 as they fell 7-2. Can the Yellowjackets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
