Rancho faced Sunrise Mountain in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Rams took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Miners. Rancho have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Rancho's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6-3. As for Sunrise Mountain, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-2-4.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Rancho will head out on the road to face off against Spring Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sunrise Mountain, they will host Clark at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
