Volleyball Recap: Chesapeake Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Chesapeake had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Symmes Valley Vikings on Monday. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Vikings, too.

One reason for the win was Chesapeake's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-16, 25-14.

Abbey Isaacs paced Chesapeake's offense, picking up 15 kills. Isaacs got some help from Lila Ferguson and her 19 assists. Erin Lowe controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Chesapeake has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Rock Hill on the 19th. As for Symmes Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Valley on the 19th.
