Baseball Recap: Bingham Comes Up Short

Bingham had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 16-8 to make it four. They fell just short of the Herriman Mustangs by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Miners have suffered since April 29, 2024.

Bingham got a good showing from Delton Cramer, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, Bingham saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Porter Larsen, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

As for Herriman, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-13 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since March 28th.

On Herriman's side, Carson Jones and Kayson Thomas did most of the damage at the plate: Jones went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double, while Thomas went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. Thomas has become a key player for the Mustangs: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 7-12 otherwise.

While Bingham had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
