Soccer Recap: Long Takes a Loss

Long was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Carroll Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Carroll this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-0 back in February.

Long's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Carroll, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-4-4.

Long didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against New Brockton on the 4th. As for Carroll, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 4-0 defeat against Eufaula on the 3rd.
