Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Emily Cho and Nicole Zarcone Lead Smithtown West to Victory

Smithtown West won the last time they faced Deer Park and things went their way on Friday too. Smithtown West was the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over Deer Park. The win made it back-to-back victories for Smithtown West.

While Smithtown West won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-22, 25-18.

Smithtown West was led to victory by Nicole Zarcone and Emily Cho. Zarcone had 15 digs, while Cho had three digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave Cho a new career-high in assists (12).

They weren't the only good servers: Smithtown West was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive contests.

Smithtown West's win bumped their record up to 14-3-1. As for Deer Park, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
