Volleyball Recap: Shepherd Comes Up Short

Shepherd lost against New Waverly back in October of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pirates fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-1. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Shepherd sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 22-25, 15-9.

Shepherd now has a losing record of 1-2. As for New Waverly, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Shepherd didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Brazos on the 16th. As for New Waverly, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against New Caney on the 15th.
