Volleyball Recap: Eight Straight Home Wins for Olentangy Liberty

There's no place like home for Olentangy Liberty, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They put the hurt on the Westerville South Wildcats with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Patriots yet this season.

Olentangy Liberty walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-12, 25-20.

Max Harris paced Olentangy Liberty's offense, picking up 13 kills. Harris got some help from Tyler Ozbun and his 33 assists. Zac Jackman controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

When it comes to explaining why Westerville South lost, don't look at Ed Firth. Despite the final result, he had nine digs and one assist.

Olentangy Liberty's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-3. As for Westerville South, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Coming up, Olentangy Liberty will take on Upper Arlington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give Olentangy Liberty their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Westerville South, they have already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Whetstone on the 27th.
