Baseball Game Preview: Roosevelt Teddies vs. Highland Park Scots

The Roosevelt Teddies will head out to face off against the Highland Park Scots at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Roosevelt's offense. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Edison on Tuesday. The Teddies haven't had much luck with the Tommies recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Highland Park has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.67 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They fell 13-9 to Nova Classical Academy. The Scots' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Roosevelt's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Highland Park, their loss dropped their record down to 12-3.

Roosevelt came out on top in a nail-biter against Highland Park in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 5-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Teddies since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
