Basketball Recap: St. Pauls' Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak at Home

St. Pauls had lost three straight headed into Wednesday's game, but Tykeem Oxendine didn't let it get to four. The St. Pauls Bulldogs skirted past the Clinton Dark Horses 64-62 thanks in part to Oxendine, who posted 20 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in February of 2024.

St. Pauls' victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-13. As for Clinton, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.

St. Pauls and Clinton could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. St. Pauls will square off against West Bladen at 7:30 p.m. on Friday down 470 places (526 vs. 56). St. Pauls is out to stop a six-game streak of losses at home. Similarly, Clinton (ranked 621st) will meet Midway (ranked 246th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
