Football Game Preview: Berrien Rebels vs. Worth County Rams

Berrien hasn't had much luck against Worth County recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Rebels will be playing at home against the Rams at 7:30 p.m. Berrien has given up an average of 32.2 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Berrien is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Jeff Davis on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Rebels had to suffer through a 42-14 loss at the hands of the Yellowjackets. The Rebels were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Meanwhile, Worth County strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 41-40 W against Thomasville. Things were looking grim for the Rams in the second quarter (they were down by 20) but they stormed back to get the matchup.

Berrien better keep an eye on Kaden Chester. He was instrumental in Worth County's win, rushing for 65 yards and five touchdowns. Those five rushing touchdowns gave Chester a new career-high. Jayden Farley also helped out with an impressive 82 receiving yards.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Worth County's defensive line and their seven sacks. Joshua McGee was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up four himself. Chance Sims was another major factor on D, making 12 total tackles (5.0 for loss) and defending one pass in addition to snagging two interceptions.

Worth County's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Berrien, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
