Branson came up big in Open Door Christian's 19-5 victory
While Tuesday's victory was certainly a team effort, someone pulling more than their own weight was underclassman Jade Branson. She was dynamite on Tuesday, striking out 11 batters over four innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits.
Branson and Open Door Christian have the luxury of staying home for another game and will welcome Vermilion at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Open Door Christian has been dominating at home and they'll enter the contest having won five straight home games dating back to last season.
