Basketball Recap: Salisbury Christian Starts off Right with Win over Chincoteague + How To Watch

Salisbury Christian gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They blew past the Chincoteague Ponies 47-5. The team accrued 37 points in the first half and coasted on those for the win.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Salisbury Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Abigail Kelly, who posted nine points and six boards. The dominant performance also gave Kelly a new career-high in field goal percentage (57%). Another player making a difference was Lorelai Mitchell, who had ten points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals.

Chincoteague is on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Salisbury Christian has already played their next game (against Delmarva Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Chincoteague, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 55-16 defeat against Broadwater Academy on the 10th.
