Baseball Game Preview: Homer Trojans vs. Phoenix Firebirds

The Homer Trojans will face off against the Phoenix Firebirds at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Homer's offense. They came up short against Cortland on Thursday, falling 8-0. The Trojans have struggled against the Purple Tigers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Phoenix has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.25 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They lost 10-2 to Lowville. The loss was the Firebirds' first of the season.

Homer now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Phoenix, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.
