Baseball Game Preview: Geneva Panthers vs. Canandaigua Academy Braves

The Geneva Panthers will take on the Canandaigua Academy Braves at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Geneva and Waterloo have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. The Panthers fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 5-4. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, while Canandaigua Academy put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Aquinas Institute. The Braves put the hurt on the Little Irish with a sharp 15-0 win. The contest marked the Braves' most dominant victory of the season.

Canandaigua Academy's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-6. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Geneva, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.
