Marist faced Pope in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The War Eagles came out on top against the Greyhounds by a score of 2-0. Winning may never get old, but the War Eagles sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Marist's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addison Lang, who had six digs and two aces. That's the most aces Lang has posted over her last seven matches.

Lang wasn't the only good servers: Marist was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pope only served three.

Marist's record is now 30-5. As for Pope, their loss dropped their record down to 24-7.

Marist didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Walton on the 27th. As for Pope, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Sequoyah on the 30th.
