Baseball Game Preview: Lathrop Mules vs. Cameron Dragons

Lathrop is a perfect 5-0 against Cameron since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Mules will be playing at home against the Dragons at 4:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Lathrop fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against South Harrison on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The Mules have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Cameron's offense. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (10-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Lathrop's defeat dropped their record down to 15-13. As for Cameron, their loss dropped their record down to 9-15.

Lathrop beat Cameron 7-2 in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Do the Mules have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Dragons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
