Baseball Recap: Liberty Union Wins Going Away Against Bishop Ready

After only one run in their last game, Liberty Union made sure to put some runs up on the board against Bishop Ready on Saturday. The Lions were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Silver Knights. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Silver Knights, too.

Liberty Union got a big performance out of Cole Thomas, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those two runs gave Thomas a new career-high. Brandon Deirfield also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Liberty Union now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Bishop Ready, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.

Liberty Union wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 4-2 victory against Danville on the 14th. As for Bishop Ready, they have also already played their next game, an 8-1 defeat against Westland on the 10th.
