The Bishop's Knights will challenge the Classical Academy Caimans at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
On Saturday, Bishop's came up short against La Jolla Country Day and fell 5-1. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bishop's got a good showing from Ian Shin, who tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Shin also tossed a walk, which is notable because the Knights are 3-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 7-9 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Dane Larson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Classical Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Santa Fe Christian 9-8.
Classical Academy also got a great performance from Jax Strand as he didn't allow a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched. Strand has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Benny Nance and Rocco Albao did most of the damage at the plate: Nance went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Albao went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double. Those two RBI gave Nance a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Miguel Monteon, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Classical Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Bishop's, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.
Bishop's came out on top in a nail-biter against Classical Academy when the teams last played back in May of 2025, sneaking past 8-6. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Caimans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
