Basketball Game Preview: West Catholic Burrs vs. Archbishop Wood Vikings

West Catholic hasn't had much luck against Archbishop Wood recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The West Catholic Burrs will host the Archbishop Wood Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

West Catholic is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest defeat since December 15, 2024 on Saturday. They were dealt a 72-36 loss at the hands of Imhotep Charter. The game marked the Burrs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Archbishop Wood came up short against St. Joseph's Prep on Friday and fell 76-65. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 37th, while the Hawks are ranked fifth).

This is the second loss in a row for West Catholic and nudges their season record down to 7-10. As for Archbishop Wood, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
