Baseball Recap: Linden Lions vs. Calaveras Red Hawks
Linden won against Sierra last Wednesday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Lions walked away with a 9-5 victory over the Calaveras Red Hawks. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Red Hawks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Linden got a great performance from Matthew Schallberger as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. Schallberger has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in 11 consecutive appearances.
