Softball Game Preview: Colony Titans vs. San Dimas Saints

The Colony Titans are taking a road trip to challenge the San Dimas Saints at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Colony has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 19.

Alta Loma hit Colony with a four-run first inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Titans came up short against the Braves, falling 10-4.

Khloe Barros(2027) made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double was her first of the season.

Meanwhile, San Dimas suffered their closest defeat since April 24, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Los Altos by a score of 4-2. The Saints' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

San Dimas saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Graciela Alt-Ambriz, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Colony's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for San Dimas, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9-1.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Friday. Colony hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game. However, it's not like San Dimas struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.7 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.

Colony couldn't quite get it done against San Dimas when the teams last played two weeks ago as they fell 5-2. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
