Delta is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Parowan a six-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Delta Rabbits will be playing at home against the Parowan Rams at 3:30 p.m. Delta is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.
Delta blew Providence Hall out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Providence Hall got their revenge. The Rabbits fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 9-7.
Kate Chase made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Joslyn Christiansen was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Parowan's offense. They lost 8-0 to Enterprise on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Rams' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Parowan saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryann Robinson, who went 1-for-3 with one double.
Parowan's defeat dropped their record down to 8-18. As for Delta, their loss dropped their record down to 10-15.
Parowan's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Delta has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.7 hits per game. It's a different story for Parowan, though, as they've been averaging 11.9 hits. Given Delta's sizable advantage in that area, the Rams will need to find a way to close that gap.
