Baseball Recap: St. John's Takes a Loss

St. John fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Bridges Prep on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Buccaneers by a score of 6-5. The Islanders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

St. John's saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ben Shelton, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.

St. John's record now sits at 9-7. As for Bridges Prep, they pushed their record up to 11-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. John's will challenge Timberland at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bridges Prep, they will square off against Bamberg-Ehrhardt at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
