Baseball Recap: Linden Comes Up Short

Linden lost against Sutter back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Linden Lions lost 7-1 to the Sutter Huskies. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Linden got a good showing from Justin Sales, who pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Sales has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

Linden's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Sutter, their victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Lions take on the Cougars at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Sutter, they will face off against East Nicolaus at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
