The Buchholz Bobcats will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the P.K. Yonge Blue Wave at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
On Tuesday, it was close, but Buchholz sidestepped West Port for a 15-14 victory.

The team relied heavily on Emily Sorah, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Juliana Abraham was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask P.K. Yonge). They put the hurt on Countryside Christian with a sharp 17-2 win on Thursday.
Makenzie Radford made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. She also put up two doubles, which were her first of the season.
In other batting news, Alison Sanetz was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Lila Sutton, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.
P.K. Yonge was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .476. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Countryside Christian only posted a batting average of .000.
Buchholz's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for P.K. Yonge, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Buchholz's speedy runners might be the difference in Wednesday's contest. Buchholz has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.5 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for P.K. Yonge, though, as they've been averaging only 1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Buchholz continue to outrun the ball?
Buchholz took their victory against P.K. Yonge in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 15-8. Does Buchholz have another victory up their sleeve, or will P.K. Yonge turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
