Recap: Caledonia Fighting Scots vs. Hudsonville Eagles

Caledonia received a tough blow as they fell 62-45 to Hudsonville. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Caledonia in their matchups with Hudsonville: they've now lost four in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Caledonia lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kyan Vanderwoude. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jaiden Googins, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Caledonia has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season. As for Hudsonville, their victory bumped their record up to 11-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Caledonia will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Jenison at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th. Jenison is coming into the matchup with eight straight defeats at home, meaning Caledonia will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. As for Hudsonville, they will head out on the road to challenge East Kentwood at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Michigan (Hudsonville is ranked 27th, while East Kentwood is ranked 24th).
