It was a good run, but Falkner unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They had to suffer through a 67-40 loss at the hands of the Walnut Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 141st, while the Wildcats are ranked 37th).

Falkner's loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-7. As for Walnut, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-2.

Falkner has already played their next game (against Byers), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Walnut will host New Site at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Walnut's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matchups.
