New Lothrop won against Durand on Thursday with 12 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. The Hornets blew past the Powers Catholic Chargers 12-1. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won six matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

New Lothrop has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Powers Catholic, they dropped their record down to 2-16 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.

Looking ahead, New Lothrop will face off against Chesaning at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Powers Catholic, they will square off against Notre Dame Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
