Gloucester Catholic gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the Delran Bears. The victory was familiar territory for the Rams, who have now won six contests in a row dating back to last season.

Jackson Smallets looked comfortable as he struck out 11 batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in May of 2024.

At the plate, Braeden Lipoff was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Gloucester Catholic will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Washington Township at 4:00 p.m. on March 31st. As for Delran, they will challenge Holy Cross at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
