Volleyball Game Preview: Kennedy Commanders vs. Overland Trailblazers

The Kennedy Commanders will take on the Overland Trailblazers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with nine losses in a row dating back to last season, Kennedy turned things around against Arrupe Jesuit on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Generals.

The victory didn't come easy: Arrupe Jesuit scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-19, 10-25, 25-19.

Kennedy can attribute much of their success to Sebastian Palacio, who had seven aces, and Thanh Le, who had 11 kills and five aces. Le is crushing it when it comes to kills: he's had at least five every time he's taken the court this season.

Meanwhile, Overland entered their tilt with Denver West on Tuesday with four consecutive wins dating back to last season, and they'll enter their next game with five. They blew past the Cowboys 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-11, 25-18.

Overland's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Kennedy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
