Football Game Preview: Bonanza Bengals vs. Legacy Longhorns

The Bonanza Bengals will square off against the Legacy Longhorns at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both have allowed few points on average, (Bonanza: 7.5, Legacy: 11.6) so any points scored will be well earned.

Bonanza is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Mater Academy East Las Vegas, who was ranked 16th at the time (Bonanza was ranked 18th). Bonanza took an 18-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mater Academy East Las Vegas on Tuesday. The game was a 6-6 toss-up at halftime, but the Bengals couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, Legacy was not the first on the board last Tuesday, but they got there more often. They managed an 18-14 win over Clark. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Longhorns.

Bonanza has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Legacy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Bonanza took their victory against Legacy in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 26-6. Will Bonanza repeat their success, or does Legacy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
