Recap: Pinnacle Pioneers vs. O'Connor Eagles
The Pinnacle Pioneers suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Monday. They were dealt a 73-39 loss at the hands of O'Connor. Pinnacle has struggled against O'Connor recently, as their game on Monday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Pinnacle still got an impressive performance from Braylon Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Cameron Hurt, who scored six points.
Pinnacle has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season. As for O'Connor, they pushed their record up to 17-3 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pinnacle will take on Boulder Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Boulder Creek's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven contests. As for O'Connor, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sunnyslope at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Sunnyslope focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday.
