Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Glenelg's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

With a playoff win on the line, Glenelg rose to the challenge on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Williamsport Wildcats. This was payback for the Gladiators, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Avery Hubbard paced Glenelg's offense, picking up 27 kills. Hubbard got some help from Jessica Li and her 60 assists. Li was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Glenelg is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Williamsport, they moved to 16-4 with that loss, which also ended their five-match winning streak.

As of now, neither Glenelg nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
