PikeView dropped their record down to 13-10 on Monday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost  10-0 to the Shady Spring Tigers. Having soared to a lofty 15  runs in the game before, the Panthers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
 PikeView saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Landon Wyatt, who  went 1-for-2 with one  triple.
As for Shady Spring, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 13 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-10-1 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 12.1 runs over those games.
On Shady Spring's side,  Sam Barnett made a splash no matter where he played. He  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits over five innings pitched. Barnett has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in ten consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-2 with two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Noah Fox was  incredible,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with two  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double. He is becoming a predictor of Shady Spring's success: when he posts  at  least two  runs the team is undefeated (and 8-10-1 when he doesn't).  Aiden Calvert was another key player,  going 1-for-2 with two  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. PikeView will host Princeton  at 5:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Shady Spring, they will welcome Greater Beckley Christian  at 3:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Crusaders will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight.
