Volleyball Recap: Seymour Now 13-4 over Last 17 Games

There's no place like home for Seymour, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Northview Academy Cougars on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Eagles have posted against the Cougars since August 17, 2023.

Seymour was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-12, 28-26.

Seymour found their leader in sophomore Isabella Hylan, who had 17 digs and two aces. With that strong performance, Hylan is now averaging an impressive 10.1 digs per game.

Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Malori Williams, who had ten digs and one block. Courtney Ellerbe was another key player, getting 11 digs and four aces.

Seymour has been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-11 record this season. As for Northview Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-5.

Seymour didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Austin-East on the 2nd. As for Northview Academy, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Fulton on the 2nd.
