Softball Recap: Johnstown-Monroe Takes a Loss

If Johnstown-Monroe was riding high fresh off their 13-0 takedown of Northridge last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Johnnies fell just short of the Watkins Memorial Warriors by a score of 8-6 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Johnnies have suffered since April 30, 2024.

Addy Zak made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Emma McGeehan also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Johnstown-Monroe's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Watkins Memorial, their record is now 8-4.
