Basketball Recap: Westside Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Westside entered their tilt with Heights on Monday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They snuck past the Heights Bulldogs with a 39-34 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 50-41 back in January.

Westside was led to victory by Garlynn Grant and Jakaila Matlock. Grant posted 13 points and seven boards, while Matlock had seven points and five rebounds. Grant is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games she's played.

Westside is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-14 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.8 points per game. As for Heights, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-16 record this season.

As of now, neither Westside nor Heights have any future games scheduled.
