Basketball Recap: Strong Comes Up Short

Strong was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 61-60 heartbreaker at the hands of the Columbia Christian Crusaders. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (55), the Bulldogs still had to take the loss.

Strong's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Columbia Christian, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Strong has already played their next contest (against Emerson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Columbia Christian will head out to square off against Taylor at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Columbia Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches.
