Basketball Recap: Countryside's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Countryside extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Carter Padags. The stars were shining brightly for the Countryside Cougars in an 84-69 victory over the Northeast Vikings on Friday thanks in part to Padags, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine assists. His evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Seth Miles, who went 7 of 11 on his way to 16 points and four steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in steals.

Northeast's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dominic Brown, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 15 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Noah Rodriguez, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 15 points.

Countryside has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.2 points per game. As for Northeast, they dropped their record down to 3-6 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Countryside didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-46 win against Montour on the 27th. As for Northeast, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, an 84-20 victory against Tournament Opponent on the 27th.
